The YUME electric scooter has an IP54 water resistance rating. While it can handle damp roads, we do not recommend riding in heavy rain or through puddles of standing water.

Our chargers are rated for 110V - 240V, so they will work worldwide. We also make sure to ship each scooter with the correct plug for the destination country.

Electric scooter laws vary by location. It’s the responsibility of the rider to ensure they are following local regulations. With the increasing popularity of electric scooters and scooter-sharing programs, we believe more cities will introduce favorable laws.

YOU ARE FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPLYING WITH LOCAL LAWS AND REGULATIONS.

Exceeding the maximum weight limit is not recommended, as it can affect the scooter's performance. It puts extra strain on the suspension and motor, reducing speed, range, and overall efficiency. This could also increase the likelihood of maintenance issues.

In the United States, it is illegal for an electric scooter to carry a passenger. YUME does not recommend riding with more than one person on the scooter.

No, the charging process will automatically stop once the battery is full. However, we recommend avoiding overcharging to prevent potential issues with overheating and to extend the lifespan of the battery.

If you wish to cancel or return an order, the following fees will apply based on the shipping status:

The 3% Payment Processing Fee is charged by our payment gateway for all credit card transactions. YUME covers this fee at the time of purchase, so customers are not charged during checkout. However, if an order is canceled, this non-refundable fee will be deducted from the total refund.

CLAIMS PROCEDURE:

YUME will replace any defective or damaged components (including damage incurred during shipping) excluding user error.

1. LIMITED WARRANTY CLAIMS

*The warranty starts from the date you receive the scooter and ends after 12 months. Warranty eligibility is not transferable.

  • To file a claim, contact YUME at support@yumescooter.com or through live chat on our website.
  • Please provide the order number, proof of purchase, and photos or videos of the damaged product for diagnosis.
    NOTICE: YUME will not replace any part without seeing photos or videos of the damaged product..
  • Damage caused by collisions is not covered under the warranty.

 

2. SHIPPING DAMAGE CLAIMS

In rare cases, the item may be damaged during shipping. If this occurs, please contact us and provide photo or video evidence.
NOTICE: We will not accept shipping damage claims after 7 days from the receipt of the product.

3.COST

All required parts, including shipping, are free of charge if you are able to repair the scooter at home. YUME is also developing a network of service centers within the EU, where labor is free of charge. If you need to ship the scooter to our repair center, you will need to cover the shipping costs.

To confirm the defect and resolve the issue quickly, please send a video showing the defect to our online chat or email us at support@yumescooter.com. Our team will review it and contact you within one working day to confirm the situation. Once the defect is confirmed, we will send you the replacement parts along with written or video instructions, or provide online guidance to help you repair or replace the component.

If you are unable to repair it yourself, you can visit one of our repair centers (labor is free). You will, however, be responsible for shipping costs, taxes, and obtaining the scooter box if you no longer have it. You can also bring the scooter to the service center in person if needed. Please contact us to find the nearest service center.

Please note: Repair requests must be accompanied by a video or image showing the defect. Failure to provide this will prevent YUME from continuing the warranty service.

Any form of harassment or assault towards YUME employees or certified technicians will result in the voiding of your warranty.

The above procedures represent YUME's sole and exclusive remedy for any warranty claims. YUME will not be liable for any direct or indirect damage or loss during this process.

Flat tires and punctures are not fully covered under our warranty, as it's difficult to predict or guarantee their lifespan or protection. However, you can still get replacement parts through our YUME Protection Plan, with only the shipping cost being charged.

Sorry, crashes or accidents are not covered by the warranty. The warranty only covers manufacturing defects, not damage caused by crashes.

Warranty claims must be made within the warranty period. If a defect is not reported within this time, the components will not be covered by the warranty. However, you can still purchase replacement parts at cost.

The YUME warranty only applies to scooters purchased directly from our website. If you bought a scooter from a dealer, please contact the dealer for warranty support.

The warranty is void if the YUME scooter is resold or transferred to another person. Warranty coverage is non-transferable and applies only to the original buyer (the recipient of the order).

We ship to most EU countries, but Malta and Cyprus are exceptions and cannot be shipped to.

Delivery Terms:

YUME provides free shipping on all products (unless otherwise specified), and taxes/duties will be covered.

Pre-orders are generally delivered on the listed release date provided on the product's page. We will send you an update via email as we approach the estimated shipping date.

Preorders are available for scooters that are out of stock but will be available for shipping on a specified date listed on our website. To reserve a product marked as "pre-order," simply add it to your shopping cart.

Full payment is required to make a pre-order reservation. Although we will pre-authorize the amount during checkout, your credit card/PayPal account will be charged a few days after the order is placed.

After placing your order, you will receive an email confirmation containing an order reference number.

Yes, you can cancel your reservation up until the item enters the shipping process. To cancel an order, please submit a request to our support team.

YUME offers the option to purchase an additional "Worry-Free Purchase" to cover the value of your scooter in transit. If you purchased this option and your scooter is lost in shipping or stolen, please contact our customer service to file a claim through the claims portal.

Without the "Worry-Free Purchase," any loss or damage during shipping is the responsibility of the customer. Please refer to the "Worry-Free Purchase" policies for more information on how to submit a claim.

If your order is presumed lost by the courier and you did not purchase the "Worry-Free Purchase" service, reach out to our support team. We will do our best to coordinate with the courier to recover the scooter. If the package is confirmed to be lost after the courier's investigation, YUME will work with you to find a resolution.

We strongly encourage you to purchase the "Worry-Free Purchase" to ensure we can assist you and provide solutions in these cases.

If you're not home, the delivery will typically be rescheduled for the next day, or the delivery partner will contact you to arrange a new delivery date, depending on your country and chosen delivery method. In some cases, you may need to pick up your package from your local post office if it can't be delivered.
